Kesley Caliguere Antique Shop was built in São Paulo, in a very narrow plot covering only 70 square meters in leafy Jardins neighborhood. The two stories of the building are distinctively marked from the outside by their colors – black or white – looking just as containers placed one over the other. At front, a wall-to-ceiling windowshop ends up in a curve where it meets the wood entry on show. Inside, gallery spaces were designed all-white and as neutral as possible so not to interfere with items – mostly Brazilian furniture and artworks from the 1940s through the 1970s. Just the staircase, naturally lit by a skylight, was color-painted in a bright yellow tone.
