FASANO HOTEL

LOCATION BUILT AREA YEAR
Sao Paulo, Brazil
10.308 m²
2003

The dream of building Fasano Hotel was cherished for many years. The Fasano family is the most traditional family in the field of gastronomy in Brazil. One day, Rogerio Fasano came to our office with an English brick on his hand and this dream on his mind. We tried to make this dream come true by designing a hotel that would, above all, translate the character of the Fasano family. The project is at one time contemporary and classic. We tried to get the best out of both styles, that is, the project is sleek in terms of shapes, design and details, but cozy in terms of its atmosphere. It is not a boutique hotel or a design hotel. Rather, it is a hotel that, right at its opening, already seemed to have existed for many years. It was made to last, not to tire. One of the strongest ideas of the project was moving the reception desk to the back of the lobby. Thus, when you come into the main lobby, you find a pleasant bar, and the reception desk is behind it. The hotel has 64 rooms. The suites have different sizes but they all overlook Jardim Europa, a residential neighborhood in São Paulo that is registered as historical heritage of the city. The hotel facilities include a pool on the roof, saunas, spa, fitness center, business center and a small restaurant for light meals, Nonno Ruggero. On the ground floor there is the Baretto, a bar featuring live jazz and bossa nova, and the Fasano Restaurant, long considered the best restaurant in Brazil.
